Jenn Peek is a multidisciplinary artist attending the University of North Florida to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture. Her artwork focuses on processes of cast iron and steel fabrication, but she also utilizes elements of fiberglass, foam, fabric, video, photography, printmaking, resin and ceramics in her work. Inspired by metamorphosis, rebirth and her nomadic life experiences, Peek creates a sense of movement and tension within stationary compositions meant to illicit a feeling of momentum and change.
Peek’s work has been shown in multiple exhibits such as the National Ornamental Metal Museum at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark, Birmingham, AL. and can be found in multiple sculpture parks in Jacksonville Florida, including Sculpture Walk Jacksonville Klutho Park, Downtown Hemming Park, and Seaside Sculpture Park Jacksonville Beach. Peek is currently creating a solo exhibit as the student artist in residence for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville. Her show (I)dentify as Phoenix will debut January 2020.
